SERGEANTSVILLE, NJ
Hunterdon County, New Jersey, in the New York metropolitan area, was named for Revolutionary War soldier, Charles Sergeant. A weekend getaway is just not enough to take in all the sights here in Sergeantsville, so you’ll need to either stay longer, or come back soon! How about the New Hope and Ivyland railroad, or the Black River and Western railroad? A pleasant ride can be enjoyed with either. Visit the Green Sergeants Bridge, stroll along the Delaware and Raritan Canal, or head to the Delaware River for canoeing or rafting. Maybe history excites you, or outdoor living, or maybe just relaxing in the peacefulness of a slower-paced environment. There are fine restaurants, shopping in pottery shops and studios, the Bucks County Playhouse, or the restored art deco County Theater. Dancing, golfing, mule barge rides, antiquing, berry or tomato picking—so much to choose from! Since it looks like you’ll be staying awhile, pick up a book and catch up on your reading in front of the fire at the local B & B where you’re registered. As you gently drift off to sleep, you can dream about the horse-drawn carriages and the balloons you’ll be riding on tomorrow. You’re sure to enjoy the luxury of these bed and breakfast inn accommodations. Set up your next reservation before you check out! |
